New-Build Private Home

Projects

New-Build Private Home, England

In this Scandinavian inspired contemporary home, the architect wanted to create a home that would pay homage to the local vernacular and be in keeping with the traditional black tar coated barns of Suffolk. In doing so, he chose our Austrian Larch cladding with charred and brushed surface finished with a black water-based oil.

A combination of three different widths was used to create a more authentic and traditional aesthetic.

Product: Austrian Larch, charred and brushed with black water based oil

Cladding Board widths: 145, 120 and 95 mm

Architect: Julian D. Hood Ltd, Lowestoft

Contractor: Daniels & Vincent Timber Frame
