The Process

The Thermory Process

Wood is enhanced through a process of steam treatment which modifies the structure and colour of the wood resulting in high levels of rot-resistance and stability.

Advanced technology and specialized kilns yield consistent, superior results in every batch. Experienced specialists and the unrivalled process combine to create products that change the landscape of the wood industry.

Rot resistance – Every fiber of the board is naturally enhanced resulting in significantly reduced moisture absorbency.

Stability – Due to its reduced moisture absorbency the wood does not expand and contract unlike unmodified wood. This means exterior cladding boards will not experience warping and movement of the boards. The same applies to interior flooring.

THERE ARE TWO LEVELS OF THERMAL MODIFICATION

Intense Modification – Peak temperature of 215°C. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor usage.

Medium Modification – Peak temperature of 190°C. Suitable for indoor usage.
