Arctic Bath Hotel

Case studies

Arctic Bath Hotel, Harads, Sweden

With its jumble of birch logs representing winter logjams on the Luleå river in Swedish Lapland, this extraordinary project by architect Bertil Harström used pine as external cladding boards and also as interior wall paneling which combined well with the Baltic Grey Limestone tiles.

The pine cladding boards were left untreated and are now weathering to a light silver-grey colour allowing them to blend in with the pristine landscape of Swedish Lapland just as the architect intended.

Products: Pine exterior cladding, Pine interior cladding
